Did you know that October is known as Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) awareness month?
Fox Rodney has been raising awareness to support our Marketing and Operations Executive, Kimran, through her journey. As a team, we set a target of walking a combined distance of 1000km as well as raising £1000 which would go towards donating an iPad to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH).
Kimran has the rare condition which is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels in the face, which wears away bones, muscles, and organs. As a result, she has undergone major reconstructive surgery in the past year. At times, this condition has taken the driver’s seat in her life and seriously impacted her mental health. However, this has not stopped her speaking out and going that extra mile to help others in her shoes; especially on Mental Health Awareness Day which was on the 10th October.
Fox Rodney successfully walked 1003.22km, surpassed the initial target and raised an astounding £2156. Kimran has had first-hand experience on how important it is to communicate over technology during the most challenging times and so we are pleased that we have been able to raise money for multiple iPads to be bought for the children at GOSH.
Thank you for all your contributions and raising awareness for a cause which is very important to Fox Rodney.
